What does a Delivery, Shipping & Receiving person do?

Our Delivery & Logistics person will keep meet our crew each morning to receive the plan for the day.  You will keep our warehouse neat and organised, receive orders daily from suppliers and rotate inventory upon arrival. Our receiver will also be responsible for tracking all items in our traceability software.   This person will also pick and deliver orders to our Rocky Point Ice Cream locations and wholesale customers throughout the lower mainland (including Sea to Sky corridor and Sechelt). Most of the time you will be working with or in partnership with our Senior Delivery and Logistics Manager.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving raw goods and packaging and entering items into RPIC traceability software
  • Organising ingredients and packaging and rotating first in first out
  • Picking orders and scanning into RPIC traceability software
  • Driving our delivery vehicle ‘Fetch’ to make deliveries
  • Cleaning and tidying warehouse area

What does a Dairy Plant Worker & Ice Cream Maker do?

Dairy plant workers work on the floor with our other experienced dairy plant workers completing all tasks associated with making Rocky Point Ice Cream’s exceptional flavours. This includes pasteurising and homogenising our RPIC ice cream base, ageing batches, preparing inclusions, running ice cream on both a batch freezer and running ice cream on a continuous freezer.  Your day will also consist of cleaning and sanitizing all workstations, equipment, and floors and with excellent health and food safety practices.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Crafting and prepping Ice Cream for Rocky Point Ice Cream
  • Running Ice Cream for RPIC on the batch freezer and the continuous freezer
  • Crafting and prepping inclusions for RPIC’s ice cream flavours

Rocky Point Ice Cream will enroll you and pay for your course fees, materials, and time to complete Dairy Processing Courses and the Ice Cream Technology Course.  At the end of your apprenticeship, we anticipate the successful candidate to be a certified Level 1 and Level 2 Dairy Plant Worker and capable of handling all tasks at the Rocky Point Ice Cream Dairy Plant.

The ice cream truck manager is responsible for but not limited to all business execution including sales growth, driving the ice cream truck, training new team members, cash handling, cleanliness, keeping team morale high, and delighting our customers. Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and thank every customer while providing exceptional customer service
  • Scoop scoops, make milkshakes and other novelties while having fun with your peers
  • Operate cash register – following Rocky Point Ice Cream’s cash handling procedures
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines with care
  • Keep storefront clean, presentable, and welcoming to customers

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have flexible availability (Weekdays & Weekends, open or closing shifts)
  • Limited to no summer vacations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Great communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude
  • Retail or client/customer service experience is a plus
  • Must have valid food safe certificate – can be obtained immediately after if hired

COMPENSATION

  • Minimum wage: $16.75/hr + tips with incremental, merit-based raises

The Canteen by Rocky Point Ice Cream – Culinary Manager

The Canteen is looking for an individual to join our growing team. This is a new position in our company, so we are looking for someone excited about having the opportunity to play with our menu items, switch things up and be creative. What does a Culinary Manager at The Canteen Do?

Manage operations of The Canteen with care for our people & product and ensure The Canteen has a positive impact on the community.  The Culinary Manager must accurately communicate with Head Office to ensure The Canteen is always offering excellent food and a warm welcoming experience for their customers.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow the portfolio of The Canteen under the Rocky Point Ice Cream brand; Develop strategies to achieve financial, operational and customer service goals, while addressing unique strengths and challenges.
  • Construct menus with locally sourced ingredients primarily. Ensure menu items are priced accurately with appropriate margins maintained.
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings. Develop recipes and instructions for all menu items so that all shift leads can execute menu items.
  • Inventory and ordering as necessary throughout the week. Building relationships with local suppliers.
  • Serve as a resource: Improve and develop expertise on key customer issues, team staffing and management, store operations and company policies and procedures.

We have an open opportunity to join our company as a Finance Technician in Port Moody. As a small company, the candidate must excel in both areas to guarantee the proper development of the company. But we want to be upfront – the amount of growth we are undertaking won’t suit everyone, and our summer months are crazy with a lot of in’s and out’s.

Job Summary:

As the Finance Technician, you will be responsible for tracking and compiling operationally related data as inventory, production, and labour utilization. You will be responsible for all the product sent to our stores or wholesale customers, making purchase orders, confirming reception, and ensure traceability is being performed properly throughout the whole company.

Other main duties include handling the company’s financial records, entering data, generating invoices, recording financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and tracking all store sales analyzing the impact of labour, operational costs, and other associated costs to set year budgets. You will also handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconcile bank statements, and prepares for tax returns. Also prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to produce budget according to schedule, handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. Other duties include managing payroll on a bi-weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracks, compiles, and audits operationally related data including but not limited to inventory, production, labor utilization and regrind.
  • Reviews inventory and work orders.
  • Responsible for the distribution to the stores or wholesale customers.
  • Ensures traceability of materials (raw, packaging, finished)
  • Conducts month end reconciliations, entries, pricing, and shrinkage.
  • Track all store sales and analyze data by creating reports.
  • Set year budgets based on reports.
  • Reconcile the company’s financial records to help ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Manage all accounting transactions.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.

  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Prepare tax returns.
  • Study financial trends to determine future business needs.
  • Manage payroll.

Required Skills:

The successful candidate must have:

  • 1+ year of experience with Experience with Mar-kov traceability system or equivalent traceability software
  • 4+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • 1+ year of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks
  • 3+ years of experience building reports and analyzing data
  • 1+ year of experience with Payworks or equivalent payroll program
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Excel required
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Resourceful and independent problem-solving skills
  • Confidentiality and integrity

Required Education:

  • Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field
